Membership Categories and Dues
Membership in BOMA Kansas City is held by companies, which designate one or more individuals as their representatives in the following membership categories:
Principal Member: The first individual representative of a member company involved in office building ownership, management, development, leasing, or marketing is known as the Principal Member. A one year membership, (January 1 to December 31) is $1,015.00.
Additional Member: A company which has a Principal Member may involve an unlimited number of others from the firm in BOMA Kansas City. They are known as Additional Members. They may exercise their company's vote in the absence of their Principal Member, and may hold office. Additional Membership for one year is $640.
Allied Member: The first individual representative of a company that provides a service or product to the office building industry is known as an Allied Member. While they may not vote or hold office, they are otherwise entitled, and encouraged, to take part in the programs and activities of the Association, including serving on committees. Allied Membership for one year (January 1 to December 31) is $1,015.00.
Allied Additional Member: A company which has an Allied Member may involve an unlimited number of others from the firm in BOMA Kansas City. They are known as Allied Additional Members. They may not vote or hold office, but are otherwise entitled and encouraged to take part in the programs and activities of the Association. Additional Allied Membership is $640.00.
BOMA International Membership: Upon joining BOMA Kansas City in any of the above membership categories, companies and their representatives automatically become members of BOMA International.
Tax Deductibility Notice-As a result of changes adopted as part of the Revenue Reconciliation Act of 1993, 21% of your dues payment to BOMA is not deductible by members as an ordinary and necessary business expense.
