Eligibility and Submission Guidelines

  • 2026 Nomination Period | July 22 - September 22
  • Open to properties managed by a BOMA KC Property Management Company member. 
    • Company must have at least 1 Principal member in BOMA KC. 
  • One nomination per submission form.
  • You may submit multiple nominations.

Form includes 9 questions (ex: "what is your name?", they are easy!) and requires 1 photo per submission.

Award Categories and Descriptions

Best Lobby/Entryway

Featuring entrances to buildings, front lobbies, and common spaces near entryway. Judged on cleanliness, beauty, décor, amenities, and style.

Best Mechanical Room

Judged on sustainability, technology, labeling, cleanliness, and organization. Size, age of building, energy efficiency is NOT taken into consideration.

Most Beautiful Landscaping

Judging includes cleanliness, types of plants, color combinations, unique garden features, green spaces, plants, and decorations for the type of building, time of year, and climate.

Renovated Space

Submit 1 space or an entire building (will offer awards for both if multiple nominations are received). Criteria includes scope of work, energy efficiencies, esthetic, style, and execution. Please submit before and after photos.

Greenest Greenspace

Can be indoors or outdoors (will offer awards for both if multiple nominations are received). Private and common spaces are eligible. Judged on eco-friendliness, water efficiency, beauty, and sustainability.

Historical Space

Criteria include spaces that are considered built prior to 1970 that are still in use today. Integration of the old and new will be considered. Please submit before and after photos.

Most Energy Efficient

Submit 1 space or an entire building (will offer awards for both if multiple nominations are received). Please provide a data summary of what efficiencies are included in the space.

Tenant Amenity/Unique Feature

Highlight the most useful and appreciated tenant amenity or most unique feature. Judging based on creativeness, execution, originality of design feature, functionality, and esthetic.

Best Conference Room

Criteria includes space accommodations for staff, technology, amenities, and office engagement.

Best Technology

Criteria includes current technology integration, smart technology, and building securities.

Cleanest Restrooms

Judging includes amenities, smart technologies, cleanliness, and design.

Best Office/Workspace

Judging includes updated amenities, integrated smart technologies, cleanliness, and design.
