Recent events and mounting evidence of significant deferred building facade maintenance has placed a renewed emphasis on the owners’ inherent duty to responsibly maintain their respective building facades.  In an effort to promote achievable means and methods of staying abreast of changing facade conditions BOMA KC has adopted a policy of best practices for facade maintenance inspections. Please consider including these recommended best practices in your building’s SOPs. In this manner we are able to demonstrate our collective commitment to public safety, as well as to being good neighbors and responsible custodians of the built environment.
